3Our Privacy Principles
Zirca's approach to personal data is built around the following principles.
Your data is yours
We provide tools for you to understand and manage your financial information. We do not sell your personal data.
Purpose matters
We collect and use information for specific purposes connected with providing, securing, improving and supporting Zirca.
Minimum necessary access
We seek to access and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature or service.

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Transparency
We aim to explain what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.

We use this information to operate the waitlist and to send you communications relating to the waitlist and early access to Zirca.

6Connected Financial Accounts
Zirca may allow you to connect supported banks, financial institutions, investment platforms, exchanges or other financial services through third-party connectivity and open-banking providers.
When you connect an account, Zirca may receive financial information made available through that connection, depending on:
- the provider;
- the permissions you authorise;
- the account type;
- the jurisdiction;
- the technical integration; and
- the services available at the time.
Where an integration is designed as read-only, Zirca uses that connection to retrieve information for viewing, analysis and related features.

The exact permissions associated with a connection are presented during the connection process where supported.
You may disconnect a supported financial account through Zirca or, where applicable, through the relevant third-party provider.
Disconnecting an account stops future synchronisation through that connection, but does not necessarily delete financial information that was previously synchronised and retained in your Zirca account. You may separately request deletion subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.

Such information may include:

- Vercel: website hosting, Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights;
- Supabase: waitlist storage and processing; and
- Loops: waitlist email communications.
The Zirca website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When a page is displayed, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which involves technical information such as your IP address being sent to Google.
19Financial Account Providers
When you choose to connect an external financial account, information may be exchanged between Zirca and the relevant provider or integration partner.
The information made available to Zirca depends on the permissions, APIs and services provided by that provider.
The external provider may have its own privacy policy and terms. You should review those terms where appropriate.
Zirca is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party financial institutions or services.
20Legal and Regulatory Disclosures
We may disclose personal data where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law;
- comply with a court order or valid legal process;
- respond to lawful requests from government authorities;
- investigate suspected fraud or security incidents;
- protect the rights, property or safety of Zirca, our users or others;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
- enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We will seek to limit such disclosures to what is legally required or reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
21Corporate Transactions
If Zirca is involved in:
- a merger;
- acquisition;
- financing;
- restructuring;
- reorganisation;
- sale of assets;
- sale of substantially all of its business; or
- similar corporate transaction,
personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by applicable law.
Where required, we will provide appropriate notice concerning such changes.
22International Data Transfers
Zirca is based in the United Arab Emirates and may use service providers or infrastructure located in other countries.
As a result, personal data may be transferred to or accessed from countries outside your country of residence.
This may include personal data processed by the website and waitlist providers identified in Section 18.
Where applicable law imposes requirements on international transfers, Zirca will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
Depending on the jurisdiction and circumstances, these safeguards may include:
- adequacy decisions or regulations;

- standard contractual clauses;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, where applicable;
- transfer risk assessments or equivalent assessments where required;
- other legally recognised safeguards; or
- a lawful derogation where applicable.
For users protected by the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Zirca will handle cross-border transfers in accordance with applicable UAE requirements.
For UK users, restricted international transfers must be covered by an applicable UK adequacy regulation, appropriate safeguard or lawful exception.
23Data Security
Financial information requires a high level of protection.
Zirca implements technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, alteration, misuse or disclosure.
Depending on the relevant system and feature, these measures may include:
- Encryption in transit
- Encryption at rest
- Access controls
- Authentication controls
- Multi-factor authentication where available
- Least-privilege access
- Secure credential management
- Monitoring and logging
- Vulnerability management

Security measures may change as Zirca's technology and infrastructure develop.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, while Zirca takes reasonable and appropriate measures to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee that information will never be subject to unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
24Your Financial Account Credentials
Where Zirca connects to a supported financial account through an external authentication or open-banking provider, authentication may occur directly with that provider.
Where the connection architecture supports it, Zirca does not receive your bank username or password.
Instead, Zirca receives authorised connection credentials or tokens required to access the permitted information.
The exact authentication and credential-handling process may vary depending on the provider and integration.
You should never provide your bank password, exchange password or other sensitive authentication credential to Zirca through an unapproved channel.
25Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
The period for which information is retained depends on:
- the type of information;
- the purpose for which it was collected;
- whether you continue to use Zirca;
- whether you request deletion;
- applicable contractual requirements;
- legal and regulatory obligations;
- security and fraud-prevention requirements;
- dispute resolution; and
- our legitimate business needs.
Where we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain personal data, we will delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our retention procedures.
Where precise retention periods differ by data category, Zirca may use defined internal retention schedules rather than a single retention period for all information.
26Account Closure and Data Deletion
You may request closure of your Zirca account.
Where deletion is requested and applicable law permits it, Zirca will delete or anonymise personal data that is no longer required.
Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations;
- comply with regulatory requirements;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- maintain security;
- resolve disputes;
- maintain accounting records; or
- satisfy another lawful retention requirement.
Deleting your Zirca account does not necessarily cause third-party financial institutions, banks, brokers or exchanges to delete information they independently hold.

These may include the following.
Right to Information

Where applicable, you may request your personal data in a structured and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible and legally required, request that it be transferred to another controller.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
You may have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
The UAE Personal Data Protection Law specifically provides rights concerning information, portability, correction and erasure, and further rights concerning restriction and objection, subject to the conditions in the law.

Please provide sufficient information for us to understand your request and verify your identity.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm that the request relates to your personal data and to prevent unauthorised disclosure.

These may include:
- security alerts;
- account notifications;
- service announcements;
- transaction or connection notifications;

- important legal notices; and
- other operational communications.
Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending promotional communications.
You may unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily stop essential service or security communications.
30Analytics and Product Improvement

This may include analysing:
- Feature usage
- Application performance
- Error rates
- Crashes

Where possible and appropriate, we may use aggregated, anonymised or de-identified information for analytics, research, product development and business planning.

Website Analytics
On the Zirca website, we use the following analytics and measurement tools:

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a rejection of analytics, and Google Analytics is not loaded while the signal is active.
Google Analytics event data and user data are each retained for 14 months.
We have configured Google Analytics with the following privacy controls:
- email redaction is enabled;
- URL query-parameter redaction is enabled, including for the "email" parameter;
- User-ID is not used;

For example, we may analyse aggregated information to understand:
- product usage;
- feature adoption;
- transaction-category trends;
- application performance;
- general financial behaviour patterns; or
- other trends relevant to improving Zirca.
We will not represent de-identified information as personal data where it has been genuinely anonymised in accordance with applicable law.
Zirca does not use de-identification as a means of circumventing applicable privacy rights.
32Children's Privacy
Zirca is intended for adults.
You must not use Zirca if you are under the minimum age required to use the Services under applicable law.
Zirca does not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child in circumstances where collection was not permitted, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise handle that information in accordance with applicable law.
33Third-Party Websites and Services
Zirca may contain links to websites, applications or services operated by third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not govern those third parties.
Third-party services may have their own:
- privacy policies;
